Every grade 12 student should apply for this!!! This scholarship, sponsored by the Alberta Government, is unique in that it guarantees money for graduating students who are planning to attend a post-secondary institution as long as they have achieved a minimum of 75% in certain subjects in either grade 10, 11 or 12. All you need to do is fill out the application form online.

The top ten Alberta students, as determined on the first writing of diploma examinations in English 30-1 or English 30-2, Social 30 and three other diploma examination subjects are recognized as "Rutherford Scholars" and receive a plaque and a scholarship of $2500 in addition to the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship. Recipients are selected from applications for the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship.
